The Professional plan includes up to 3 smart lock devices at no extra cost. If you need more, each additional device is just $5/device per month. For example, if you have 10 locks, your add-on would be 7 extra devices × $5 = $35/mo on top of your plan.
Supported smart lock brands:
On the Professional plan you link a Hapn tracker to each rental item. The order shows where the item is, and you get an alert when:
- it leaves the yard with no rental booked;
- it isn't back by the end of the rental;
- it's back in the yard, so you can start the return check;
- the tracker is unplugged or goes offline.
With an engine-hours tracker, or a machine's own factory data, the hours go into the return readings and the service schedule.
Reservety charges nothing extra. You buy the trackers and their plan from Hapn, per item per month (Hapn pricing):
- trailers, containers and generators: a battery tracker, from $10;
- trucks and vans: a vehicle tracker, from $10;
- equipment with engine hours: from $13, or full telematics for excavators and loaders from $18;
- machines that already report to their maker (Kubota, Takeuchi and others): from $4, with no new hardware.
Hapn includes the trackers at no cost on its 3-year agreements.
No. You keep your own insurer, and Reservety puts your coverage in front of the renter. On the Professional plan:
- you enter your insurer and policy number once, in settings;
- each product gets a rule: insurance off, optional, required, or required unless the renter has their own;
- every confirmation, by email and text, gives the renter your insurer's link, your policy number and the rental dates, plus the last 6 characters of the VIN for a vehicle or trailer;
- the renter uploads their coverage or their own insurance card at checkout or before pickup, and the order isn't released until it's there.
For trailers, RVs, golf carts, ATVs, scooters and other vehicles, several Reservety customers use MBA Insurance: you pay MBA a monthly premium per vehicle, and the renter buys a daily addendum on MBA's renter page.
MBA doesn't cover equipment. For construction, farm and material-handling equipment, there's SEIS (Specialty Equipment Insurance Services), and it works the other way round: you charge the renter a damage waiver on each booking, and SEIS's rental damage waiver insurance covers you if the equipment is damaged or stolen while it's out. The renter doesn't need proof of insurance. Set the product's rule to required unless the renter has their own, and a renter who turns the waiver down uploads their own insurance instead.
Neither covers boats or party gear: for those, use your own insurer. And if you insure your rentals yourself, the damage waiver stays: a percentage added to the booking.
