The seventh client books online, and you find out at the door that there is no machine.
Reformer Basics and Reformer Flow hold Reformer 1 to Reformer 6 for the hour and have six places. The places are the machines: a seventh person can’t book, and nobody can book a private reformer session during the class, because every machine is taken.

A private session is booked on top of a full reformer class.
A private reformer session ($70) is a service that needs one of the six reformers, and it takes whichever is free. While a class holds all six, there is none, so that hour isn’t offered. The instructor’s app shows Tuesday’s Reformer Flow on Reformer 1 to 6 at 5 pm and Claire’s private reformer session at 6.

Cash for packs goes in a drawer, and the pack is written on an index card.
Sara buys her next 10-class pack at the end of class. Take payment on her row: $180, cash. Her balance shows the credit at once and she gets a receipt by text. The $180 is money Alex holds for the studio, and it comes off what the studio owes him.

“How many classes do I have left?” is asked at every class.
A pack is $180 in the client’s balance, $18 a class. Sara’s ledger lists the pack she bought and every class taken from it, so the answer is on the instructor’s phone.

A workshop takes the room, and the class is moved by group text.
Open Tuesday’s Mat Pilates, remove the Yoga Room, add Studio 2, Only this Tuesday. The room is free for the workshop, and Thursday’s class stays where it is.
