Reservety works with many payment providers. This page compares the five most common: Stripe, Square, PayPal, Authorize.net and NMI. Here is what each one costs, how fast the money reaches your bank, and what Reservety can do with each. The other providers are listed further down.
Checked on 25 October 2026.
Stripe and Square are the quickest to start: no monthly fee, you sign up online in minutes, and both take deposits, saved cards and security-deposit holds in Reservety.
PayPal adds its own checkout button, which many customers already use. A payment through that button costs more than a card payment: 3.49% + 49ยข.
Authorize.net charges a monthly fee and comes with its own merchant account, or works with one you already have. NMI is sold only through banks and payment companies, so it suits a business that already works with one.
Every one of them takes deposits (part now, the rest later) and the balance through a pay link.
Fees for US businesses on each provider's standard pricing. A provider can offer you a custom rate, and international cards cost more.
| Provider | Card online | Card in person | Monthly fee | Money in your bank |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stripe | 2.9% + 30ยข | 2.7% + 5ยข | None | 2 business days (the first payout takes 7โ14 days) |
| Square | 2.9% + 30ยข | 2.6% + 15ยข | None | Next business day |
| PayPal | 3.49% + 49ยข with the PayPal button; 2.99% + 49ยข for cards, or 2.89% + 29ยข once PayPal approves you for its advanced card payments | 2.29% + 9ยข | None | In your PayPal balance at once; 1โ3 business days to your bank, free |
| Authorize.net | 2.9% + 30ยข (all-in-one), or 10ยข plus your merchant account's fees (gateway only) | With a reader on your computer | $25 | 2โ3 business days after the day's payments settle |
| NMI | Set by the company that sells it to you | Through that company | Set by that company | Set by that company |
Square's online rate here is the one for payments taken through its API, as Reservety takes them; Square's own online store charges 3.3% + 30ยข.
Stripe, Square and PayPal each sell their own card readers, with the in-person rates above. Authorize.net works with a card reader plugged into your computer. With NMI, the company that sells you the gateway supplies the readers.

Deposits: the customer pays part of the order now and the rest later, through a pay link.
Security-deposit holds: the amount is held on the customer's card, not charged, and released or taken after the rental. A card hold lasts about a week, so holds suit rentals of up to a week. On Square, a released hold isn't cancelled at once: it drops off the customer's card when Square's 7-day hold ends. For Authorize.net and NMI, ask us and we'll add holds for your account.
Saved cards: the customer's card is kept with the provider, and you charge it later from the order, for damage or an extra day.
Each guide takes you from opening the account to the button that connects it to Reservety:

Your country's gateway isn't in the table? Most payment gateways offer a ready-made connection for online stores, and when yours does, we can connect it to Reservety. Deposits, security-deposit holds and saved cards depend on the provider, so ask us what yours can do before you choose.
Each provider's public US pricing and help pages, read on the date at the top of this page: Stripe pricing and payouts; Square fees, transfers and card holds; PayPal fees and bank transfers; Authorize.net pricing; NMI. Providers change their prices: check their page before you sign up.
