How to Manage Stock Quantity

Learn how to manage stock quantities in Reservety for maintenance schedules, restocking, and future procurements. This guide covers three common scenarios: removing items for maintenance, restocking after repairs, and adding new inventory for a future date.

Step-by-step guide

Scenario 1: Remove Items for Maintenance

Go to Products and click All Items to view your inventory.

Click Edit on the product you need to update (e.g., 5x8 Single Axle Utility Trailer).

Scroll down and enable the Stock in the future toggle to access scheduled stock changes.
Step 3

Click the Add Stock button to create a new stock adjustment.

Click the Date field and select the date when the stock change should take effect.

Select the specific day from the calendar (e.g., the 2nd of next month).

In the Quantity field, enter the reduced stock count. Add a Note explaining the reason (e.g., "2 Trailers are out for maintenance").

Click Update to save the stock change.

Click View product to verify the change on your storefront.

Test by selecting booking dates that overlap with the maintenance period. The available quantity should reflect the reduced stock.

Confirm the maximum available quantity matches your adjusted stock (e.g., 6 instead of 8 trailers).

Scenario 2: Restock After Maintenance

Go back to the product and click Edit to add a restocking entry.

Enable Stock in the future and click Add Stock again.

Enter the full stock quantity (e.g., 6) and select the date when items return from maintenance.

Add a note (e.g., "2 Trailers are back from Maintenance") and click Update.

Click View product and test a booking after the restock date. The full quantity should be available again.

Scenario 3: Add Future Procurement

Edit the product again and enable Stock in the future.

Click Add Stock and enter the new total quantity (e.g., 8 to add 2 new trailers).

Navigate to the future month in the calendar and select the date when the new stock arrives (e.g., May 1st).

Add a note describing the procurement and click Update.

Click View product and test a booking on or after the procurement date to verify the increased quantity is available.
