Frequently Asked Questions

Which letters do I need the most of in my inventory?
The most commonly used letters in English are E, T, A, O, I, N, S, R, and H. For yard greeting businesses, you also need plenty of numbers (especially 0-9 for birthdays and anniversaries). Stock at least 4-5 of each common letter and 3-4 of each number. Letters like Q, X, Z only need 1-2 copies.
How do I handle back-to-back orders on the same day?
The biggest challenge is having enough duplicate letters for overlapping orders. Use this tool to check both orders before confirming. If 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' and 'HAPPY ANNIVERSARY' both need 2 P's, you need 4 P's total. Keep extra sets of the most common greeting words (HAPPY, BIRTHDAY, CONGRATULATIONS).
Why does this tool only track 9 letters?
This tool tracks the 9 most commonly used letters that cause inventory shortages: A, B, E, I, O, N, S, T, and R. These letters appear in almost every greeting message. Less common letters (Q, X, Z) rarely cause inventory problems. For letters not tracked, the tool flags them so you can check manually.
