Frequently Asked Questions

How much space does a 360 photo booth need?
A 360 video booth needs the most space of any booth type - at least a 12-14 ft diameter circular clear zone with no obstacles the arm could hit. You also need 10+ ft ceiling clearance for the overhead arm. The platform itself is typically 3-4 ft in diameter, but the spinning arm extends 5-6 ft out. This makes 360 booths unsuitable for venues with low ceilings or tight spaces.
What ceiling height do I need for a photo booth?
Most standard photo booths (open-air, enclosed) need a minimum of 8 ft ceilings. Mirror booths need 9+ ft due to the tall mirror unit. 360 booths need 10+ ft for the overhead spinning arm. Always confirm ceiling height with the venue before booking. Tents and outdoor venues can have variable heights, so measure at the exact setup location.
Can I set up a photo booth outdoors?
Yes, but you need a covered area or tent to protect equipment from sun, wind, and rain. Direct sunlight washes out photos and overheats electronics. Wind can topple backdrops and knock over props. You also need access to a power outlet within 50 ft (bring extension cords). Outdoor setups take about 30 minutes longer and may need sandbags or stakes to secure backdrops.
