How to Take Bookings in Specific Intervals

If you want to take bookings with fixed period slots and a certain gap in between, follow the tutorial to set up things.

Example:

We have a case where – We take Fixed 2 hour booking with a gap of 30 minutes. And our store timing is 9 am – 6 pm.

In this case, our booking slots are 9-11, 11:30 -1:30, 2pm-4pm, 4:30pm-6:30pm

To allow only these periods to book. Follow the tutorial below.

 1. Create a Fix Period

Create a fixed period of 2 hours and assign it to all products or a specific product. Learn how to create here.

 2. Go to Date Range

Now we create periods that we don’t want to show on calendar. go to settings > date ranges

3. Periods to Block

Now, we only want to show 9am, 11:30am, 2pm, 4pm on calendar and block/hide other time. So, we create ranges 9:30am – 11am, 12pm-1:30pm,2:30pm-3:30pm, 4:30-5:30pm

4. Create Ranges for Periods

Click Add New Date Range.

Title: 9:30am-11am

Range Type: Time (Repeats Every Day)
Enter Period: To enter 9:30 (enter any period between 9:30 am – 9:45), similarly to enter 11 am (enter any period between 11:00-11:15)

Finally hit publish button

Create ranged for each period

5. Review Ranges

Once you have created ranges for every article. Verify that all the range for each period is created.

6. Block Dates

Now use these ranges to block the dates. learn how to block dates on the calendar here.

If you want to block a period for a specific product. Go to items > select item > edit

Scroll to find advance block date

If you want to block a period for globally all. Go to settings > general > advance dates

In global disabled dates. Enter these ranges one by one and disable them for start date. Because we have fixed period of 2 hours, End time does not need to be blocked
